All AMC Worcester Chapter outdoor activities are led by volunteers. Our leaders are skilled in the events they lead. The AMC takes pride in offering an array of outdoor leadership learning opportunities. We encourage our members to become leaders in the outdoor activities they love. If you are interested in becoming an AMC Outdoor Leader, please contact the commitee chair for the type of events you would like to lead. Executive Committee Meetings, last Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the YMCA Harrington Camp in Boylston, MA. Meetings are open to all, but please RSVP to Charlie Arsenault. If attending. Come join us for dinner before the meeting! Spring Leader Training, April 21 & 22, 2012. SOLO Wilderness First Aid April 28 & 29, 2012 Learn how to manage an emergency in the backcountry from Solo certified instructors. This comprehensive two day course at Camp Harrington in Boylston, MA covers standard emergency care with an emphasis on backcountry long-term care and evacuation. Forms and Guidelines Available As a leader in outdoor recreation in the Northeast, the AMC strives to provide high-quality resources to its volunteer trip leaders and participants. As part of our efforts to continually educate our members, volunteer trip leaders, and participants about trip safety, the AMC has created a Web site where you can obtain important volunteer forms & information. Help for Online Trips Database The online trips database allows leaders to post their own trips for publication and Web posting. Committee Chairs enter new leaders in the database, and leaders enter trips for approval by the Committe Chair and Leadership Chair.
