the "Family Adventure Club" and a variety of family friendly events

Events

Wed-Thu., June 20-August 30. AMC Family Adventure Club. Status: Open.  
Calling all families to join the fun this summer on weekly mid-week  
outings in the Worcester County area. Connect with other families for  
inexpensive trips that will leave "no child left inside". Hiking,  
bicycle riding, swimming, and museums. Visit parks, bike paths, lakes,  
beaches, farms, and attractions such as the Ecotarium, Tower Hill  
Gardens, and Davis Farmland. It's always more fun with a group!

Fri-Sun., June 29-July 1. Tully Lake Campground. Status: Open. Canoe  
the Tully River or island hop on Tully Lake. Fishing and swimming  
abound. Explore miles of hiking ormountain biking trails, including  
jaunts to nearbywaterfalls and scenic overlooks. Tully Lake  
Campground(located about 1 ½ hrs from Worcester), offers  
walk-in,tents-only campsites in a wilderness-like setting, mostsites  
on the lake. Centrally located modern bathhouse withtoilets, hot  
showers, and drinking water. Canoe and kayakrentals available. $25 per  
adult, $15 per child under 12,for the whole weekend. Includes 2

Sat., July 14. Mt. Monadnock Family Hike. Status: Open. This will be  
Emma's first time up Monadnock. We'll do the White Dot trail, because  
kids love to scramble. We'll have dinner afterwards at a kid-friendly

Mon., July 16. "Walk in the Park" Series. Status: Open. Join the  
Worcester Chapter for a fun filled evening especially designed for  
families and beginner hikers and cyclists. Join us at Hopkinton State  
Park for a picnic, walk, ride, or paddle, swim and volleyball. Fun  
begins at 6:00 p.m. Contact leader to register and for meeting place.

Sat., July 28. Hopkinton State Park Family Canoe/Kayak/Picnic. Status:  
Open. Join us for a day of paddling fun. Paddling and swimming island

Fri-Sun., August 3-5., Family Fun Weekend at Noble View. Status: Open.  
Singles and sociables welcome, too! Waterfalls, swimming, gentle  
trails, spectacular views, hiking, great company, organized games,  
campfires, fun fun fun! $25 per person includes Fri & Sat lodging in  
fabulous renovated cottage with bedrooms, kitchen facilities, wood  
stoves, living rooms and plenty of space, or in historic farmhouse;  
tenting $15/person. No potable water; outhouses. Food NOT included;  
Sat potluck recommended. New members especially welcome. Limited space

Great family hike! We will walk the path around the pond with a side

Sun., October 28. Geocaching In Callahan State Forest. Status: Open.  
Learn more about this new family-oriented sport. We're going to find  
one, possibly two easy caches in the Marlboro side of Callahan, off  
Broadmeadow Rd. All ages welcome. 2pm meet, followed by dinner at a  
kid-friendly restaurant! No registration required. Leader: Ed Fanjoy;
