Thu., June 7-August 30. Summer Volleyball. Status: Open. Join the
Worcester Chapter members for co-ed recreational adult volleyball.
Drop in every Thursday night from 6-9 on an outside sand court in
Southboro during June, July, August. New and prospective members
welcome. Open to all levels. Must register in advance weekly with

Thu., June 14. Thursday Bike Ride from Devens. Biking. 6pm start.
Status: Open. Ride 17 mi. with hills from Devens, MA. Meet at parking
lot at Jackson Rd and Givry Road, one mile north of the Jackson Rd
entrance to Ft.Devens (exit 37B off of Rte 2). Depart promptly at 6PM.
Optional dinner afterwards at JP O'Hanlon's in Ayer. No registration

Fri-Sun., June 15-17., Alpine Gardens Hike. Status: Open. Explore the
Alpine Flowers in bloom. Sat. ~8-10 mile hike intermediate pace from
Pinkham. Tent. plan is to hike up via Boott Spur, across Alpine Garden
and down either Tucks or Nelson Crag depending on weather and
conditions. Summitting Washington is not an objective of this trip.

Sat., June 16. Nashua River Rail Trail. Biking. Status: Open. Join us
for this 26 mile scenic Beg./Inter. bike ride along the Nashua River.
Bike path is paved. Bikes must be in good working shape. Spare tube,

all families to join the fun this summer on weekly mid-week outings in
the Worcester County area. Connect with other families for inexpensive
trips that will leave "no child left inside". Hiking, bicycle riding,
swimming, and museums. Visit parks, bike paths, lakes, beaches, farms,
and attractions such as the Ecotarium, Tower Hill Gardens, and Davis
Farmland. It's always more fun with a group! Recommended for ages 5+.

right on McCormack Rd for 1.9m to 4-H Club parking lot on left. Leave
some cars here and shuttle to East Hill Road off Pleasantdale Road in

and Mt. Fitch culminating in a hike to the highest point in

the Tully River or island hop on Tully Lake. Fishing and swimming

Campground(located about 1 ½ hrs from Worcester), offers
walk-in,tents-only campsites in a wilderness-like setting, mostsites

Two day hikes in one weekend! Hike a 4,083 footer in Vermont whose
summit is shaped like a you know what. Camel's Hump (8 miles rt, 2600
feet) is the highest undeveloped mountain in Vermont, with no
structures at the summit. Meet for dinner afterwards. Optional hike up
Mt Mansfield (6.5 miles rt, 2800 feet) the next day. Do one or both!

rock got in just the right spot to take your next step or who built
that run off channel in just the right spot? Hikers and hike leaders
have been invited to come join the Trails Committee and the Mass Dept
of Conservation and Recreation to give your thanks, learn, appreciate
and pay back those folks behind the scenes. Join us as we help with
trail maintenance on Wachusett Mtn. You'll have lots of fun and never
look at a trail the same way again. No experience necessary. Tools
