Worcester Chapter Spring Picnic
Activities Schedule
Sunday May 20th from 10-5
Sun., May 20. Worcester Chapter Spring Picnic! Status: Open. Hopkinton
State Park. Fun starts at 10am. Please join us for a fun filled day.
Activities for all ages and abilities. Hiking, Biking, Paddling,
Swimming, Games. BBQ Lunch. We'll provide burgers, hot dogs and
drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. See schedule of
activities. All are Welcome. Please RVSP (email preferred) if
attending with # adults/children by May 16th. Leader: Sharon Foster,

Helmets, Water Bottle and spare Tube required for all bike rides.
Please bring water for all hikes.
Bike Rides leave promptly at 1030A please be in parking lot and ready to go!
1030A: Whitehall Reservoir Bike Ride. 10 miles of rolling hills
around Whitehall Reservoir, a little shorter and at a slower pace than
our intermediate ride, suitable for riders with some recent biking
experience. Short car-pool from park to start of ride. L Mary MacDonald
1030A: Sunday Morning Torture Int. Bike Ride. 20-25 miles through
Hopkinton and
surrounding towns. Be prepared for hills and some beautiful views.
Bring water, snack, repair kit. For safety's sake, rain cancels this
ride. Intermediate pace(~14-16 mph) for experienced riders only. L Pat

1100A: Families Hike; Explore the trails of Hopkinton State Park.
Suitable for Families with small children L: Nomi Monroe, Pat Fanjoy
1100A: Hike for Everyone Else. A little fast and perhaps a little

1130: Tug O War ? Enjoy the old-time favorite. Winner gets to be first
in line for dessert ? L: Larry Bliss.
12-130P: BBQ Lunch; Pavilion. Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Veggie-burgers and
soft drinks will be provided. Please bring a side dish or dessert to
share.
1P: Bike Maintenance Workshop: Learn the basics of bicycle
maintenance. Jim Robblee from EMS will teach us some tricks to keep
our bikes in top shape.
130P: Afternoon Hike. Another opportunity to stretch those legs, this

1P: Family Fun: Games, Races, Gears towards kids of all ages. L Nomi Munroe
2P: Beginner Mtn Bike Ride. After the Bike Workshop join us for a
short beginner level mtn bike ride taking advantage of the parks

2-4P: Rowing Demo: On water rowing demo with Echo Rowing. Learn about another
recreational fitness activity?Recreational Rowing. Guarantee yourself
a spot registering in adv. for a 30 minute slot by contacting Echo

230P: Geocaching. Learn about geocaching, which is searching for
hidden treasure using a GPS unit. There are presently over 386,000

3P: Afternoon Volleyball Tournament: Join us for some fun competition
on the Volleyball Courts. L Jen Eaton
330P: Tug O War Redux: Didn?t get an opportunity before lunch or want
to try again. L Larry Bliss
4P: Raffle Drawing: Enter to win some great prizes! Tickets available
at the registrations table. Must be present to win.
All Day: Volleyball Gear, Frisbees etc available for use. Swimming if
warm enough. Boats available for rent or bring your own.
