Hi YMers,

Jim just posted a Map & Compass training.  Please see below.  It was a great
training and I hope to take it again in the future since I know I need
practice!  Unfortunately I can't make this (another wedding) but I hope many
of you can!!!

One last call for the leadership training this weekend:

*Sat-Sun., April 14-15., Leadership Training. *Status: Open. For those
interesting in leading Worcester Chapter Trips and Activities. Qualifies
participants to co-lead hiking, biking, paddling and YM activities. Focus on
trip planning, organization, safety, leadership styles, and group dynamics.
Location: Boylston MA. Cost $25 included materials, instruction and lunch.
Preference given to Worcester Chapter Trip participants. Scholarships
available for Worcester Chapter Members. Contact L for more info or to

Hope more YMers come out for it!  This is great for anyone who wants to help
with leading or coleading hiking, biking, camping, and paddling trips, etc.

Saturday, June 9 Map and Compass – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM - Classroom and Field
work on learning map and compass skills.  During the morning, we will review
map reading and how a compass works and how to use the map and compass
together.  During the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to use your
skills locally at Treasure Valley Boy Scout Camp in Paxton.  Bring your own
