Hello,
       As you may know, the New Hampshire Chapter is hosting the Fall
Gathering this year (October 12-14).  We would like to find out if young
members from the various chapters are interested in getting together to meet
each other and share ideas and stories of what's happening in their neck of
the woods.
       We're definitely open to suggestions but the preliminary plan is to
do a young member hike on Saturday and then have a slightly more formal
meeting later in the day - formal only in the sense that we actually sit in
one place and try to have a group discussion.  The discussion would focus on
topics of interest to young members, such as communication, recruitment (of
members or of leaders), or other topics that you suggest (please do!).
       We have had some very successful gatherings in the past(anyone else
remember Connecticut?) but some have been more lightly attended.  Before we
go hog wild with planning, we wanted to gauge the amount of interest out
there.  Whatever happens, we'll be at the gathering hoping to meet some of
you.
       Please let us know if any young members from your chapter are
planning to attend the gathering or how many might be interested in
attending if there were some young-member-specific events happening.  If
cost is an issue, we can work on identifying other lodging options, e.g.
camping. If you would be interested in a hike on Saturday, let us know what
level of difficulty you prefer (we'll aim for broadest appeal).  Also,
please suggest topics for discussion.
