Okay procrastinating YMers....last chance.  This WILL be my last
reminder...promise!  See below...after my ramblings!

Other updates:

We've got a start to our winter season planned out.  Some excellent weekend
trips, a few nice local snowshoes (pray we get some snow!), and even some
cross-country skiing day trips this year!  Of course we'll continue our MNHS
& First Friday Socials.  Interested in winter hiking & not sure where to
start?  Check out our PIZZA & GEAR Educational Social!  Here's the details:

*Thu Nov 29 Pizza & Gear! * Freaked out on where to start and how to buy
winter gear? Concerned about the amount all this gear everyone recommends
costs? Missed the winter hiking course offered by Worcester AMC? Still have
questions? No problem! Join experienced YMers and beyond for pizza and demo
of gear they use for winter hiking & more. Learn what to pack and how for an
enjoyable & safe winter hike. Information is useful for those new to winter
hiking or those with experience interested in learning additional tips.
Experienced hikers will come with packs full of what they carry on the trail
and with recommendations for participants. Tips on affordable places to
shop, what to skimp on and what not to will be shared & discussed. Event
held at a AMC YM coleader's house in Worcester, Maire Quigley. BYO-drink.
Pizza to be provided. Event starts at 6:30 with pizza being served.
Presentation to start promptly at 7 PM.

Dear Members and Friends:  Based on the heavy inquiries for space
availability for next Saturday's event, The Manor has kindly extended the
deadline to accomodate our members so *space is still available*.  We have
150 on the guest list so far so spread the word and get in your forms
today.  They must be postmarked by 11/14.  No walkins accepted for dinner,
although entertainment only is an option and starts at 8:30 and is $10 for
members.

*Sat., November 17. Worcester Chapter Annual Meeting/Social. *Status: Open.
Join the Worcester Chapter for our annual bash with dinner at The Manor
Banquet Hall followed by our brief annual meeting and dancing to The
Insiders. Last year was a huge success so don't delay this year and join the
fun. All are welcome. Registration required w/downloaded form. Members cost
$25 incl. dinner/dancing. $30 non-member. Annual meeting and social - free.
Time 6:00 - 11:00 p.m. Make non-refundable check payable to AMC Worcester
Chapter. The Insiders are a six-piece band with a unique, full sound.

11A (495 North). Then take 290 West to Route 140 North (towards Boylston).
Cross Route 70, (first set of lights), Wachusett Reservoir will be on your
right. After crossing the railroad tracks, follow the road to the second set
of lights, then take a left, which is Route 12. We are about 300 yard on the
right hand side *From the West (Springfield Area): *Take the MA Pike (Route
90) East, to Route 290 East, to Route 140 North. (towards Boylston). Cross
Route 70, (first set of lights). Wachusett Reservoir will be on your right.
After crossing the railroad tracks, follow the road to the second set of
lights, then take a left, which is Route 12. We are about 300 yard on the
right hand side. *From the South (Cape Cod Area): *Take Route 495 North.
Then take route 290 West, to route 140 North, (towards Boylston). Cross
Route 70, (first set of lights), Wachusett Reservoir will be on your right.
After crossing the railroad tracks, follow the road to the second set of
lights, then take a left, which is Route 12. We are about 300 yard on the
right hand side. *From the North (Leominster Area): *Take Route 190 South,
towards Worcester. Take exit 4. At the lights coming off of the ramp, take a
left onto Route 12 North, (towards West Boylston). We are about 300 yards on
the left had side upon passing Wal-Mart, which is on the right.
