[Ymers] Annual Spring Picnic

Hi Ymers!

Hope everyone enjoyed the spectacular weather this weekend!  I had a great
hike with a fellow Ymer Rachel at Pack Monadnock today.  Can there be
perfect hiking weather?  I think so.    I think today could have been it.
On to news as I know you all aren't chomping at the bit about knowing my
plans....

I wanted to highlight a few trips coming our way.   As always, go to

   - This Saturday I am leading a trip up Mt. Watatic with Dave Brainard,
   an up & coming leader for YM.
   - Friday May 2nd is a killer bash at Selby's house (a fellow biking
   leader who is planning some Mountain Bike Rides...stay tuned).
   - Saturday May 3rd is an Earth Day clean up hosted by YMer Sarah
   Forti....please come & support her first YM event!  I'll buy all party-goers
   (and non-goers) munchkins.....just trying to lure help for us Sarah!
   - Memorial Day Weekend we have JUST a few spots left so if you're
   thinking about it.....decide already!
   - And finally (drum roll please):

*Annual Spring Picnic - Sunday, May 18, 2008  *
*I am hoping  for an awesome YM turnout...it's a lot of fun. Eliza & I are
planning a capture the flag wilderness game (you could have played a version
back in gym class or maybe scouts) to liven things up a bit so come out and
support our efforts!  Boaters interested in boating, bring your boats!

Come join us for the Worcester Chapter Spring Picnic at Hopkinton State Park
on Sunday May 18th. Fun starts at 10A. This is a great way to meet fellow
AMCers and YMers! Activities for all ages and abilities. Hiking, Biking,
Paddling, Swimming, Games. BBQ Lunch. We'll provide burgers, hot dogs and
drinks. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Oh, and by the
way....there WILL be give-a-ways! Please RVSP (email preferred) if attending
with # adults/children by May 8th. *$5 Admission for non-AMC members
$10/family. Possible entrance fee to park.*
